Don’t Rain On My Parade

Despite how we may feel about a person or situation, sometimes we have to step back and allow the sun to shine through. Don't be so critical or judgmental to someone's joyous moment. When you cherish a person, allow them to freely share their happiness. Let's pay attention to our own personal journey with hopes of reciprocating the energy we give. Demonstrating happiness for others is refreshing. Be that person, live happily in the moment and react positively to what the person is saying to you. You're that person they wanted to share their happy moment with.

As friends we tend to be overprotective of other's feelings. We selfishly intervene because we don't want them to be let down or hurt based on past experiences. These feelings are normal. There may be situations where we have to speak up and give our opinion. But who are we to predict the outcome of their future? Let them have their moment. Who knows how long it may last. Be that consistent friend through the good and bad times. Your opinion is valued, just be mindful how it's delivered, better yet how it can potentially be received. We all strive to smile and live in those happy moments regardless how diminutive it is. ”You're happy, and I'm happy for you. If the shit falls apart, I'll be right here for you!" (Now that's a friend--thank you)
