Innocently born into a world filled with people trying to find their identity. Wondering who to be as a child, wondering who to be as an adult. Who footsteps to follow? Are they the ideal example?
Creating your own footsteps leading to a path of uncertainty. Not knowing the people that will share your similarities...the job that fills your soul with gratitude...meeting your first love...finding your soul mate... losing your virginity...experiencing the love of parenthood... suffering from heartbreak...death of a loved one... mental/physical exhaustion and strength. How does one cope with so much?
So timid to expose flaws and beauty, but humble enough to embrace them. Being obsessed with painting a vision of clarity and purpose. Holding head high despite of disappointments. Accomplishing academic goals that excelled the imagination.
Brush stroke by brush stroke, I ask who is this I've tried so long to fight? What was I afraid of? Filling my head with lies I'm not good enough when actually I'm perfect. Knowing my truth, I can finally see I'm a work of art. The kind that doesn't depreciate.
Mistakes made along the way allow things to be cultivated in your own way and in your own time. Just know mistakes are made in masterpieces! Choose your colors wisely, make sure they're vibrate enough to shine through any dark cloud. Your first color should be a representation of your life's journey.
"Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolize trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and faith. It produces a calming effect and is considered to be beneficial to the mind and body."
Everyone of us has an opportunity to have a beautiful portrait. It depends on how it's painted. Every moment is like a puzzle, not too sure where the pieces will fit. Sometimes it just takes a long time to figure out. Be patient with yourself, trust that each brush stroke will exemplify what it's meant to be. And what's meant to be we may not always understand.
"Your life becomes a masterpiece when you've learned to master peace".
